After all of the entries are submitted each one is reviewed to be sure it meets the criteria of the category entered. If a rules violation is suspected or found the entrant is notified and given an opportunity to correct the issue. Should the entrant be unable to correct the issue, the entry is disqualified.
RESA does our best to ensure that all entries meet the correct criteria before voting begins. In the event that a rules violation is reported after voting begins the entry will be tagged for review upon conclusion of the voting by the members. Any entries that make it to a finalist or top ten positions and are tagged for a rules violation will be addressed with the entrant upon conclusion of voting by the members. The entrant is given an opportunity to prove their entry meets the requirements of the category. Should the entrant not be able to provide proper documentation the entry will be disqualified. The next entrant will move up to the finalist or top ten positions replacing the disqualified entry.
